dr. pepper
I know this is going to step on some people's toes (note: Ali's especially), but how can people stand to drink Dr. Pepper? It is TOO SWEET. I've noticed with Dr. Pepper that there are really only two kinds of people: those that love, adore, fall at the feet of Dr. Pepper in total allegiance...the ones who drink it almost non-stop and who dream of visiting the bottling plant as a possible honeymoon destination, and those that can't stand how it tastes. There's no happy medium. You've either got some kind of Dr. Pepper memorabilia in your house (a watch, clock, magnet, sign, whatever...) and drink it every day, or you don't drink it at all. We might call these Dr. Pepper lovers "fanatical" or "dedicated" (crazy, perhaps?) but I admire their heart. I thought I had a craving for Dr. Pepper last week, imagine my surprise! So, I got a 2 liter and after one glass I remembered why I never buy that stuff. The bottle is still sitting mostly full in our fridge door. Don't all email me at once, asking for my left over Dr. Pepper you crazies!

I take offense....DP is my cola of choice but I do not consider myself a 'fanatic'. I own no DP memorabila and, in fact, I have no DP in my house at the moment. Oooooh, I sure could use one right now though! Thanks for putting a craving in my head! :)
Ali here...yes I do love Dr. P. The sweetness is my favorite part! However, I don't consider myself a fanatic either. We always keep it in the fridge, but I don't drink it every day and I don't have any memorobilia. It is just my cola of choice. Everything else is just too harsh-tasting. Perhaps you're just not sweet enough to handle it!
