Birthday Cards

It's official. I'm 29 today. And I have a question. What do most people do with birthday cards they have received? I have never been able to figure out a good solution for birthday cards. I hate to toss them. (Im sure some are horrified that I would even suggest such a thing.) They cost a few dollars each sometimes. It seems a waste to get rid of them, but if I kept all the cards I ever received, my closet would be bursting. I did keep all the cards we received when we married, and the ones we got when each of my children were born. But do people save birthday cards? I'd love to know what those of you out there do...so post a comment and let the world know.

St Jude's Hospital (I think it's in Memphis) collects the fronts only of any kind of cards for the kids there to use for crafts. I have sent them there in the past and have the address if you want it. The Dallas Morning News used to publish a list of places here in the metroplex that uses cards and I sent them locally as well. You could also try posting a note in the Pass It On column in the DMN as non-profit groups use them and they could respond to your request. I have saved up a bunch of cards right now--Christmas, etc--and need to clean them out........carol
