Single Parent

Whenever Cody has to be out of town for a night or two, I get a glimpse of what single parents go through day after day. Whether single because of death, divorce, children out of wedlock, or their spouse's line of work...it isn't easy. Cody does so much around the home and also with the children that I don't know how I'd manage to get everything done without him. And even when he is not doing something specifically with the kids at the moment, it's nice to have what I call "back-up" ...meaning he can be called into action at any moment to help me. I never have to bear any trouble or problems by myself since he and I can share those burdens together as we work through them. It's hard to do things on your own, especially something as important as raising children. I know that people make due with what they have, but I say a prayer for single parents on those nights I am living it for myself.
