cool cool air

Finally, a cold front has come through and for the first time in ages we are having a crisp cool day that started in the 50's and won't get out of the 70's. This is MY KIND OF WEATHER. I live for this kind of day. I put pants on the kids, and socks on their feet. Snuggling with Nate after he woke from his nap this morning felt soooo nice. He's a little heater that boy, and it felt perfect on a day like today. The cool breeze on my face as we ran errnads this morning made me almost giddy with anticipation of the upcoming events I absolutely love. From October to January, there is at least one major joyful occasion per month: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Nate's birthday, Christmas, Ava's birthday. And most of the things I love to do are only available or best done during these months as well. The State Fair, watching football, sipping hot chocolate and spice tea, curling up under a quilt, to name a few. I love pumpkins, and Christmas lights, sweaters and scarves, soups, dark evenings, cold air, fires, spending time with family, and everything about this time of year!

I agree! This is also my favorite time of year. I think it is the focus of family and being thankful for who/what you have and at times who you are missing. I love the trees changing colors.. God's beauty at its finest!!
