fantasy basketball addict
I didn't realize that fantasy basketball would be so fun. Last night was the first game of the season, and I only had one player from my roster playing a game. He's my number one player though, Tim Duncan. I was watching espn.com live score updates and checking out how all the players were doing. Every time Duncan scored or made a rebound or assist I was cheering. Cody was looking at me like I was crazy. But secretly, I think he enjoyed the updates I was giving him about how his players were doing. Tonight I have 9 players in games, so I guess I'll probably be watching the scores and seeing my points add up before my eyes. I realize I can't do this every single night, and I figure the newness is going to wear off at some point. But for now, yea team! I already know a lot more about the game and players after just the draft and one night of games than I ever have before. It makes it more interesting to watch the games (or listen, or see the updates online). I always liked the Mavs, but now my interest has broadened. Could I have named the top 5 guards, forwards, or centers in the league before last week? Nope. But now I've got to know...got to make trades and add/drop players. This could potentially take up a lot of a persons free time. Although, I can't get THAT involved since I do have a family to take care of! I'll just do a little here and there and see how the season goes.
