Birthday Trip

I thought Chicago would be the place to visit for my 30th birthday trip, but then after discovering I was pregnant...yes, you read that right...I wanted somewhere less hectic than the big city. So Cody is taking me to a spa/hotel outside of Santa Fe. I am really excited about this for many reasons.
1. Santa Fe is one of my favorites- so natural and cultural
2. Our favorite restaurant Rancho de Chimayo is an hour north of Santa Fe
3. It's a SPA, so massage here I come
4. peace, relaxation, and a chance to read
5. free time with Cody
I'll miss the kids, but they'll be in good hands while we're gone.
I had promised to disclose the reason I went over a week without blogging at a later date-
it was because of morning sickness. Really bad, not mild. I've seen the doctor and things are progressing well, and I've announced the news to all my extended family and friends, so now I can feel free to toss it into the world wide web.
