Halftime

Will the Mavs win tonight or will they blow it? They are down by one at the half. Since most people will be reading this post sometime tomorrow, then most will know the answer to my question. I sure hope the answer is "They won it!"
I'm listening to my daughter's sweet rendition of the song "Grey Squirrel" over the monitor as I type. She lays awake for a couple of hours sometimes at night when she has had an afternoon nap, like today. Earlier this evening she was talking on her pretend phone (while wearing a tutu on her head that looks much like a bridal veil.) She would answer her phone, "Hello?" pause...."I'm just getting married." "I'm sorry...what?" another pause..."I don't want to talk to you right now." I really don't think I've ever said that last part to anyone, so not sure where she picked that up.
After her bath she came in and told us, "I don't want to go to sleep. I'm just gonna watch the Mavs game...and stay up all night...and never go to sleep again." So far, she's making good on her promise.

That was disappointing! I thought for sure the Mavs were going to win. I just think the coach is so cute! He looks like a little boy that never grew up!

I read your post and thought "out of the mouths of babes..." then googled that expression because I didn't know the rest. I love hearing these funny things Ava says!

Psalms 8:2. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

Matthew 21:16. And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
