Something Cool
I just read about something so neat- I couldn't wait to share it. I never knew this existed until I read an article about it in my recent copy of Family Fun magazine. It's called Letterboxing. It's an outdoor scavenger hunt involving the internet and hidden boxes all over the country- and world! The only things needed are a notepad, rubber stamp, ink pad, and an internet connection. People look up the location of secret hidden boxes on Letterboxing.org. Then, you and your family (if it's an easy hunt for kids) go in search of the box by following the directions. The boxes might be hidden in bushes, trees, under bridges, etc. When a box is found, it will contain a notepad and stamp. You use the stamp to stamp your own notebook (as proof you have been there) and use your personal stamp to stamp the notebook inside the box. You can sign your name also. I looked and found a couple of boxes located in local parks. There are lots in the city of Dallas also. To think I've been walking past all these secret boxes all these years without having any clue about them! I really want to try and find one!

Becky, this is really neat! When Caleb gets a little older, I will be checking this out. I checked out the clue for the one in Garland, and it is right by the school that I used to work out. How cool!
