I feel very strongly about Central Dallas Ministries. Of all the organizations I have ever heard of and seen in action, I believe it does more to help turn lives around than most of the rest put together. It gives things to people- food, clothing, job training, health care, attorney services..so I guess many would call it a charity. But, it's main focus is on long-term social change that will improve the lives of the poor with more than one or two meals. Larry James, the director of CDM, is one of the most brilliant, dedicated, visionaries of our time. He impresses me every day with his wisdom and concern about those that many want to sweep under the rug and pretend don't exist. Cody and I have supported CDM for about 6 years now. Every penny will be devoted to these two needs--no administrative, printing, mailing, staff costs whatsoever--one of the great things about the Net! ." Today's entry compelled me to link to his post and pass along the opportunity for everyone to donate $10 (which remarkably can buy 71 pounds of food- wow!) So if you have time to check out his post, and can spare $10-
