And here we go again...
Nate brings me a toy tonight- one of those Easter chicks that peeps when held just right so that the two metal areas are both being touched by one's hand. That chick is just peeping away. Then I notice that Nate is not touching the metal parts. The chick has gone berserk. I bang it on the table. Still chirping. I hit it against my hands, then the table again, harder and harder. Still chirping. We're about to sit down to dinner, so I put it in the garage until I can find a screwdriver to take the batteries out. Later this evening, as we sat down to read a story, I heard the chirping coming from the garage. So, I climbed over my car to reach the tool box, got a screwdriver, and slowly unscrewed the battery compartment. I was actually a little afraid that the peeping might continue even after I removed the batteries. I'd have to leave the house then, in fear of the possessed chick. I'm almost positive I had a smoke detector once that continued to beep after I removed the batteries. Or maybe I saw that on Friends. No, I think that happened to me, too. Anyway, we can all breathe a sigh of relief, because the chick went silent once I popped out the batteries. Another crisis diverted. All in a day's work for SuperMom.

Becky,
A few years ago Steve bought me a Key Ringer because I was always misplacing my keys. You just push a button and it finds your keys. If you are interested you can find information at www.keyringer.com. It has saved me lots of time, more than once.
Blessings,
Lynn
I'm glad I found your blog! The life of a mother with young children - what fun!
