Book Club Night

I'll be leaving in about 30 minutes for book club. This has been one of my most favorite activities ever. We've got a great bunch of 6 that I love to spend time with every other month. Seriously, I look forward to book club night more than just about anything else. Our shirt says "good books, good friends" but it leaves out good food, good conversation, and a good chance to reclaim a little bit of myself that gets buried under the title "Mama" sometimes. For this night I'm just Becky- one of the girls. We can share our ideas, insights, pieces of ourselves, without keeping one eye on our kids, and without a male around. (We love our husbands, but sometimes girls just need a night out with the girls.) I'm thankful for these 5 other women and all they bring to the table that makes book club night so special.
