There are certain things in life that I don't experience on a regular basis, for various reasons, and therefore consider them small luxuries. Tonight we had cresent rolls with dinner. That's a prime example of a luxury to me. We only eat these about 2 times a year because:
a. they are kind of expensive, for bread
b. each roll contains about 10 grams of fat
Some other examples: pedicures, seeing a movie in a theater, going to a Mav's game, getting a massage, my father-in-law's homemade cinnamon rolls, my grandmother's homemade cinnamon toast, eating outside on the patio of a restaurant in perfect weather, and sleeping in as long as I want. These are things I experience only once or twice a year. There are many more things I could add to the list. I'm not sure I would want to do them more often because then they would lose their "special-ness." Many people do not even get to enjoy these things even once in a lifetime, so I am well aware of how blessed I am to enjoy them however infrequently. Sometimes it's good to stop and think about the little things that make life sweet.
