Presents
I've been thinking a lot about gifts lately (receiving and giving). I even started Christmas shopping. I really like buying gifts for people. I think it's fun to ponder what someone might like and carefully select it. I enjoy the entire process from the initial brain-storming, the wrapping (I admit I have a slight addiction to wrapping paper. There are about 20 rolls under our bed. I buy it on clearance after Christmas, even though I already have enough to last a few years. I just can't resist the beautiful patterns. A couple of weeks ago I found Dora Christmas wrapping paper at the dollar store. I bought two rolls! I can't wait to use it this year.), to seeing them unwrap the present. So, this is one of my favorite times of year considering it involves LOTS of gift buying and giving. Not only do we have Christmas, but both Ava and Nate have birthdays a month before and a month after Christmas. I especially enjoy trying to come up with meaningful gifts or making gifts when I can. I can't go into detail about the gifts I am making this year (the recipients might read this...who knows?), but there are a few that I am very excited about and can't wait to give. I just love that feeling of anticipation- knowing a person will really enjoy something I am going to give to them.

Becky you are always so sweet and thoughtful. I love giving presents as well - I just wish I was more creative so I could do more homemade and created gifts. I guess with time and effort I can get there. Creativity just does not come naturally to me and I want it so bad! I will have to learn from you. Will you be my mentor? :)
I also love giving presents, although sometimes I get stumped on what to get someone. And I also have a birthday right after Christmas (8 days after), which was always fun for me. And this year, I can proudly say that I am already completely done with my Christmas shopping! Yea! On to the wrapping, which I haven't even started yet - but which is also sort of my favorite part!
