I am crazy about bubble lights. That's the kind with the bulb bottom and a long thin tube coming up full of liquid that "bubbles" once they get warmed up. The only problems are:
a. they only bubble when pointed up, so I had to tape them to the mantle just so
b. they get really hot. really really hot.
Bubble lights remind me of Christmas when I was a kid. Even then I was completely fascinated by them. So, I finally got some of my own on clearance last year. I thought the kids would be enamored, but it seemed they could take them or leave them. I guess I am the only one around here that truly appreciates the amazing qualities of bubble lights. The other kind of lights I am really looking forward to are the lights I bought last year to use on our tree this year. I think they are called chasers. It's the kind that have 8 or so different settings, or you can rotate through each of the settings. I have always loved those! They dim, they get brighter, they flash, then glow steadily, then do some other cool pattern. I could watch those for an hour.
I am pretty easy to please.

I am ashamed to admit that I had to Google bubble lights because I could not picture them. Now I know what you're talking about! I do love Christmas lights.
My mom has some bubble lights also. She loves them! But, I had no idea what they were until she bought them several years ago.
Rachel, I'm sure you could request some bubble lights on Freecycle... :) HA!! I'm just teasing. Just thought I would try to mention it on everyone else's blog now!!
Bubble lights are awesome. We do not have any but they are big in Jake's family. Maybe someday when we upgrade to a heavier duty tree - many moons down the road.
I think I'll have to google bubble lights as well. I enjoy watching changing lights on a tree too! I don't buy those lights because I think it would be hard to synchronize. I like things to be easy!
