Feeling Down
Man, sometimes I just feel overwhelmed by the amount of pain and trouble in this world. I am so tired of pulling up usatoday.com and reading about children being murdered by their parents, war and hatred all over the world, people using their position of power to cheat or harm others (positions in politics, church, business, etc...) I am tired of imagining the fear and helplessness victims feel, especially the children, as they suffer. Then there's the pain of illnesses and natural disasters. My Harding alumni email today told about a young father that died Dec. 2 of cancer. We were celebrating Nate's birthday and another family was mourning a husband and daddy. I know all the rational Christian responses to this kind of thing. I understand mentally that this world is full of sin and its consequences, and of course that there are better things in store for those who love God. But emotionally, it is so difficult to digest the suffering I see around me every day. I wish it could be different...right now.

I was going to ask you and Cody if you knew Keith. I have been reading his wife's blog for several months now and am just heartbroken for her and their 6-month old son.
