And the winner is...

No, I'm not referring to the Oscars, but something much more important- the annual Richardson East church Chili Cook-off. Cody spent all Sunday afternoon making New Mexican style green chili from the Hatch chilis we got in Santa Fe last August. He got it into the crock pot just in time to take it up to church for the judging. We had a fun evening visiting with friends and eating. Then, to my surprise Cody actually won first place in the non-traditional catagory! (The catagories are traditional, non-traditional, and youth.) His chili was so hot I couldn't even eat it, but apparently the judges liked it. In fact, he got lots of compliments from people who tried it. He won a bag full of starbucks stuff, but more importantly, bragging rights.
