Falling Behind

No, I'm not talking about the slow but steady descent of my rear toward the floor (isn't gravity a killer, ladies?) I mean I am falling behind on my blog. I used to post every day and now it's more like...gasp...every 3 days. It isn't that blog-worthy things aren't happening in my life. Oh no, there's no shortage of material. In fact, I had this GREAT discussion with Ava regarding stranger danger last week. I know that sounds boring. But it isn't! We did some role-playing where I pretended to be a stranger trying to get Ava to come with me to my car. Her job was to say "NO!" and run away. Literally...to the other side of the room. What fun, huh? She did great. I tried to lure her with candy and the promise that her mom sent me to pick her up, but she didn't fall for it. Then I pressed my luck and said "Hi little girl. I have a puppy in my car. I'd like to give you the puppy. Come to my car and get it." Well she sat there and started hemming and hawing a bit and I could see her eyes racing like, isn't there something I am supposed to say here...starts with an "n"....um, well...and then she spurted out "Okay!" As if we hadn't just practiced it successfully twice in a row. Now you all know that the promise of a puppy will lure my daughter away. Please don't pass that info along to any creepy men you may know.

Ha! Ava cracks me up! She's so smart too! I was used to seeing lots of new posts from you, but you were so diligent about it that you deserve a break at this time in your life! Store up all your stories and post them when you can!

that's so funny!!!! I am hard at work over here- you never know what you'll find on my blog. I was inspired to change to a 3 column lay-out after changing our book club blog.
