Last week, I made a pineapple upside down cake from scratch using the recipe in my favorite cookbook, The America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook. They said that the key to this cake is to use fresh pineapple instead of canned. It turned out delicious. On a side note: when I was flipping through my cookbook I realized that there is a chunk of pages missing, about 15, in the chicken section. They are just not there. I have no idea what to do about it. I've had the cookbook for several months now. Would I contact Barnes and Nobel (I bought it online) or the publisher of the book? How frustrating!

If you bought it online from Barnes and Noble, I would take it to their store and at least ask if they can make an exchange. It couldn't hurt. Or you might try contacting the online store and see what they say. Ali

I got ATK family cookbook for Christmas and I LOVE it. There's so much good stuff in there. Two recipes for tonight's meal come from there.
As to the missing pages, I would take it straight to your local Barnes and Noble. If they have any decent customer service, they should give you a new copy.
