Every year of Ava's life, I have purchased an Easter dress that has a matching coat or sweater...just in case Easter morning is chilly. Every year except this one, that is. And this is the first year I have really needed one! I remember clearly when I was buying her dress. I considered the need for a cardigan, but then I thought, no, it's never really been that cold on Easter morning. She doesn't really need a dress with a cardigan. And now I am going to have to go out tomorrow and find a white sweater for her to wear over her sleeveless dress Sunday in the 30-40 degree weather! Aaargh!
It just goes to show that one can never tell what the weather will be on Easter in North Texas. Last year it was so hot and sunny during the afternoon egg hunt at church that I thought I would pass out from heat stroke.
Next year, I'll get a dress with a cardigan, and it will probably be 90 degrees.

Oh, the Easter dress. What a fun tradition. As a kid I usually got an Easter hat to wear to church as well - that seems so old fashioned to me now. (but I guess I am getting up there...) Happy Easter! Hope to see some family pics :)
saw white sweaters at Kohl's today for girls.....on sale I think as about everything in the store is! saw several of those dresses we looked at online, too that are on sale, some with matching sweaters. She may need a coat by the sound of it....still saying possibility of some snow during the day and Sunday as well.....what a change from last year....Don has brought firewood tonight as we will probably have a fire all day tomorrow, just as we cleaned all the firewood off the patio and put up the log carrier! LOL
It was cold here in Knoxville too! Very annoying! It actually snowed the Friday night before. Naturally, I had just finished packing up all the kids' cold weather clothes!
