Anyway, the picture above is of our family, plus the neighbor that lives across the street and his dog. I'll go left to right. Lucas is easy to spot wrapped in a blue blanket with an orange hat on his head because "it is windy outside" explains Ava. I am the orange figure holding Lucas, and the only person without a face, which might mean something significant that will come out in therapy years down the road. The yellow blob to the left of me is Java, the dog. Ava is the largest figure on the page, in purple (hmmm, doesn't every child have an egocentric streak?) Nate is the short blue person to her left. The tall blue person is Java's owner (our neighbor), and the tall grey person is Daddy. The sun smiles down on us all. This is a scene common outside our house on a nice spring evening. Our neighbor almost always brings Java over for a visit in our front yard. The kids run around playing while Cody and the neighbor talk. Lucas and I only come out occasionally, so it was nice of Ava to include us in the drawing.

WOW would love to hear Ava tell me the story of that picture. But of course I know without a doubt she is quite advanced for her age and has an imagination that is phenomenal. Her artwork is so cool.....carol
