Music Monday

Nothing beats a "feel good" song. And this is one of the best there is. I like to consider this song my personal motto. Once, about 7 years ago, I took an online quiz called "What Song Are You?" and this was the song they said described my life. I couldn't agree more. I haven't had a horrible life, but like most people, I've had to overcome some hard times and heartache. This song is a gentle reminder that the sun can break through the clouds. It provides a lift without being overly sugary or naive (ie, Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows...no thank you, Lesley Gore, just shut it.) This is a good celebration song, for example, for when you find your baby's lost shoe after searching nearly a week. Woo-hoo! Or, when a traffic jam suddenly opens up for no apparent reason. Although, I have to admit I always thought it was sung by a woman. It isn't. Some songs you just can't tell easily. I had a tinge of doubt about it, which has been confirmed tonight as I searched youtube for a recording. The artist is Johnny Nash and the song is:
