This is where I'm headed in a few months. Cody and I have decided to celebrate our 10 year anniversary in
Banff, Canada. I can hardly wait to see the stunning views, feel the crisp mountain air, sip cocoa in front of a fire, hear the roar of waterfalls as we hike through some of the most beautiful forests on the planet, stroll through a few quaint shops, relax in a hot tub, explore one of the most enormous hotels I've ever seen, and most of all just enjoy the company of the wonderful man I have been married to for a decade.
First, we'll "rough it" (not really, since the cabins are quite nice) at Johnson Canyon. There are lots of hiking trails and waterfalls around this resort. Johnson Canyon is about halfway between
Banff and Lake Louise.

Then, we'll stay one night in
Banff at the famous
Fairmont Hotel at Banff Springs. It sort of looks like a castle. The photos of this hotel inside and out are amazing. I have spent hours perusing the website, looking at the gorgeous pictures and reading about all the hotel has to offer.

It was so hard to decide where to travel this summer, but I think we have made a great choice. In fact, I am so excited about this trip I can hardly contain myself! If anyone has been to Banff and has suggestions for fun things to do there, I'd love to hear about it.

my family went to Banff probably 15 years ago for vacation and stayed at cabins at Johnson Caynon! I can't remember much about what we did - I think that was a vacation where we drove and enjoed scenery and relaxed and read a lot. We also visited the gorgeous hotel at Lake Louise. You'll have so much fun!
Haven't ever been there but can see why you are excited, it looks beautiful!
I have always wanted to go to Banff! It looks so beautiful and I am sure that you guys will have a blast. One of my best friends from high school lives not far from there. I know she will have some great ideas that are 'must dos'.
That sounds like a great choice. I've only ever been to Vancouver (which was nice) as far as Canada is concerned, but I'd love to visit other places in Canada sometime. It's beautiful!
I am so excited for you. I don't know how you could not have a great time. It is beautiful and you get to be with your great hubby all by yourself. Can't wait to see the pics!
Looks amazing! Can't wait to hear about the trip!!!
