Sorry it's a little late this time, but it is still Monday!

It's almost impossible to list all the amazing things I love about today's song. First of all, it's hard to beat the voice of Ella Fitzgerald. Smooth like butter, it rolls across your ears and into your soul. Contrast that with the mesmerizing, unique gravely voice of Louis Armstrong for a match made in Heaven. The song also includes a trumpet solo- the other unique voice for which Satchmo is best known. And really, as if it couldn't get any better, the entire song is written by one of my favorite composers- Gershwin. So, it is a triple whammy of goodness. I love how this song evokes images of the 40's in my mind. I like how I imagine the scenes in black and white. This song is deeply romantic. Think about all the little things you love best about your partner. Not everyone appreciates or even notices the tiny nuances that make a person special, but because of time and devotion- we share these small intimate details with the people we love most.
