Cody's company picnic was held at the Arboretum last night. Man, that place is gorgeous. We got there an hour early to walk around the grounds with the kids.
I took this picture of Ava and Nate just as we were beginning to explore the beauty of the Arboretum.

About 2 minutes later, Nate had run across a field and slipped into a mud puddle. I was disappointed that my sharp idea of crisp khakis and a gleaming white polo had been obliterated in less than 5 minutes at the Arboretum. But Nate was more devastated than me. He sobbed! He was very upset about falling in the mud. We comforted him and I resolved to take only waist-up shots for the rest of the evening.

Beautiful Ava smelling a rose. There was a quaint wooden fence lined with climbing roses near a village of small old-fashioned houses. The kids played in the little homes for about 20 minutes while Cody and I enjoyed the cool breeze.

Here is my curly-lock boy. His hair is getting longer and curlier every day. Cody wants to cut it short for the summer. I am not sure if I can do it. I
love these curls.

Lucas and his
paci are almost
inseparable. I'm going to look back on his baby pictures one day and realize that I can't see his mouth in a single one of them.

Beautiful Pictures! I love Ava's hair. My vote would be to keep Nate's curls. My nephew does it all summer with no problem. Nate's hair is way to precious to cut! But that is just my opinion - sorry Cody. :)
