Many of the songs I like most are because of the feeling or image they invoke in my mind. That is extremely true for the following song. I can't believe I am about to confess two major things right now. Ok, deep breath. First, I can't dance. Not a single bit. I am completely clueless about it. But I wish I could so badly! I would love to be able to do a two-step around the dance floor snug in the big strong arms of the man I love. Unfortunately, he can't dance either. The two of us together are the most unlikely dance material in the universe. Second, I have a soft spot for "cowboy fantasies." I love the rodeo. I romanticize the idea of working on a ranch under a blanket of stars. I think cowboy-types are dreamy. So, it's only natural that the following song, when I heard it many years ago (when I listened more frequently to country music stations than I do today) caused my eyes to glass over and my heart to skip a beat. I know, it seems weird that I could absolutely love funk, classic rock, AND soft country ballads. But I guess I am a many-faceted gal. The truth comes out.
I Just Want to Dance with You by George Strait 1998

I have the same dream. I want to line dance! I don't think I had heard this song, but the pictures were precious. I loved the one with the child on the clothes line. I will confess that I am an "Achy Breaky Heart" fan.
