Music Monday

I first heard this song on the movie Never Been Kissed. Then I heard it again in the movie Love Actually this weekend. There are many versions and they are so different from each other! In Never Been Kissed the song is done very modern by a band called Block. It has a great beat, and I like it, but it's a little comical because they use some strange effects. In Love Actually it was performed, as it sometimes is, by children singing a capella. The original song was done by Perry Como in the 50's and has a definite lounge-singer quality to it. And then, as I was searching youtube for the song, I found yet another version- my favorite of them all. This one was done by a lady named Nina Wall for a Tropicana commercial, if you can believe it.

The melody of this song is so catchy and the words are sweet. Enjoy!

We sang this song when I was in the Mesquite Girls' Choir in elementary school. It's always been a favorite of mine!

Dates me I know, but my mom used to sing this to me as a child. I like your Tropicana version too!

I love the Tropican version. The version from "Love Actually" really sticks in my head when ever I see that movie. I can hear the little British accented children singing it... can't beat the nativity lobster costume!

I've always liked this song too! Good choice! And like Dara, I can absolutely hear those little British children singing it in my head like they do in the movie! Was this the first time you had seen "Love Actually"?
