Happy Birthday, Nate

The adjective I hear most often when people describe Nate is "sweet." It's true that he is one of the sweetest boys one will ever meet. He is generous, loving, kind, and compassionate. This is a kid who opens his birthday card to find $8 and immediately offers to share with his sister. I find myself day-dreaming about what future lies in store for him sometimes. I know a few things will most likely happen. I know he'll get his heart broken a few times (because he wears it close to his sleeve), I know he will make many people very happy- especially one lucky young woman one day, and I know he is going to be one of the most loving, selfless, servant-hearted men one could ever hope to come across.

I made him go outside in the freezing cold for 5 minutes so I could snap a few photos. I love outdoor pictures so much better than indoor. Doesn't he have the most joyful, mischievous smile?

Happy 4th Birthday, Nate!

My "baby boy" is 31 years old, and it still breaks my heart when he's sick or sad. ENJOY your baby boy!
Don't get me wrong - there will probably be times you'll want to kill him with your bare hands.

That's one good lookin kid. I remember when I used to take care of him in the infant room. That boy sure could cry.
