Missed Ya

They argue, whine, and fuss at each other sometimes. Nate is an expert, as most little brothers are, at pestering his older sister. She knows just the right verbal barbs to toss out to get under his skin. But when it comes down to it, they really love each other. And here's the proof.
No, I didn't pose them. Nate had been gone to his grandparents house the night before so they had not seen each other in over 24 hours. We were all watching Wipe Out (their choice, not mine) together last night when I happened to glance over and see them sitting like this. Without a word I got up and grabbed the camera.

I don't often ponder the truth in this statement, but most likely your longest relationship(s) will be with your sibling(s). It's just the way it usually works out in the scheme of life. If that's the case, then I think my three kiddos have it pretty good.

So sweet! Looking at that picture really makes me think of my love/hate days with my younger brother.

this is so sweet - what a treasure. now when I look back at pictures like this of me and my brothers I'm sort of awestruck that we once had that close physical connection despite our bickering. too cool, Becky!
