Best Kids' Meal

Some might recall my rant on expensive kids' meals at restaurants. It's a pet peeve of mine. Once you have two or three kids (or more), paying $5.99 apiece for a few nuggets, fries, and a small drink can take a toll on the wallet. Some places even make you pay extra for the drink. So, I'm always looking for restaurants that give parents a break on the kids' food. And today I hit the gold mine.

I hear by announce Jason's Deli as the winner of the Best Kids' Meal Ever award.

They have peanut butter and jelly or grilled cheese sandwiches on your choice of white or wheat, hot dog in whole wheat bun, and a few other choices of entree. The sides are diverse and wonderful, too! Chips and pickle, baby carrots, organic apple slices, etc. Plus, you get an organic white or chocolate milk or apple juice. An entree, side, and drink cost a total of...

ok, you are not going to believe me when I tell you. Please sit down and take a deep breath. I promise I am not lying when I tell you the entire meal costs $2.59.

It's the best restaurant deal around for high quality food my kids love to eat. Since I have three kids, I got three different sides and split it all up between them. The adult salad bar is great, too. AND, I got this amazing chicken pot pie soup that knocked my socks off. It was sooooo good. I think I have a new favorite place to go next time I don't feel like cooking.

We have started going to an Italian place in Fire Wheel called Brooklyn's. Great kids meals....I think we pay $3.25 and they get two big slices of pizza and a drink or they can get a choice of a couple of different pastas. Most of the places that offer "free kids" nights usually only give you 2 free meals. :( Boston Market is good place for free kids' deals.

We love Jason's Deli. I have been going there since I was a kid! I didn't realize they had such great kids deals, though, since we hardly ever get anything separate for Ethan yet. But that's a great bonus for when we will need to do that!

Wow - that IS great! I love Jason's and will keep that in mind when we're eating out. Ashton still only eats a little here and there from Dustin and my plate when we go out to eat in the evening. I think he gets more than enough at daycare during the day!
