After filling up on pancakes, the girls played Apples to Apples Junior. That is the most fun game! We have the adult version of the game, which I love to play. Ava had played the kids' version at school and asked for the game for Christmas. The bigger the group, the more fun the game so it was a perfect party game. The girls were laughing, squealing, hollering, and totally cracking me up!

Pancake Party
Ava declared she wanted a "pancake party" for her birthday this year. I thought it sounded like a fun idea, too. I printed out a simple recipe for pancakes and made 3 stations with the directions, tools, and ingredients ready for use. Ava and her 6 friends split into small groups to mix up pancake batter. Adults cooked up the pancakes adding chocolate chips or blueberries on request. Then the girls headed to the "topping table" to add all kinds of delicious things.
