Favorites (Part One)

I'm in a good mood. I think there might be future installments of this train of thought...but for now here are my favorite smells:
the top of Nate's head after his bath
cardamom
the air after a spring rain
Cody's deodorent
coffee
pit bbq
evergreens
vanilla
eucalyptus
downey fabric softener sheets
homemade spaghetti sauce
baby lotion

Those are the ones on my mind right now. You know, I have never bought and used downey sheets for the drier even though I absolutely love the way they smell. I have thought about buying them several times. I have probably even picked up a box in my hand only to return it to the shelf and buy a cheaper brand instead. I think I will finally treat myself to them next time I need to buy some. Why haven't I done it before? Life is short!

Yes, I think alot about smells as well and the seasons bring different favorite smells to mind........like the Thanksgiving turkey roasting and pecan pie baking in the fall and especially spicy candles all over the house burning all day. In the winter I think of the fragrance of fresh greenery in the house to decorate around the holidays and the spicy smells of Christmas candles. Spring would be when Don has just mowed the yard and the smell of honeysuckle, altho I don't have any right now. Then summer would be more scents of flowers and the bbq grill going to grill burgers or a steak! I also love other scents, like my sweet grandaughter Ava when I have just given her a bath and am reading her a story before bedtime. I have missed doing that recently! Those are some of my thoughts on scents! carol
