Pie

I made pie crust from scratch today! That is a first. I pulled out an old recipe from my grandma's recipe box. It was a photocopied pie crust recipe and above it she had written "Even I can make crust with this." We happened to have some buttermilk in the fridge, which doesn't happen very often. So I decided to make Cody's favorite...buttermilk pie, as a special treat. I made the crust and rolled it out. I fit it to the glass pie dish. It was enjoyable to make something I know my grandma made. There are even two more crusts that I froze to use some other time. When I put the pie in the oven I wanted to tell her about it so badly. I wish I could have called her up and told her about how I used that recipe and made crust for the first time. I always liked to share things like that with her.
