Sonogram

We saw our new little baby Thursday morning. I wonder what he/she thinks about while lying around in complete darkness listening to the gurglings and rumblings of my body backed by the constant thud of my heartbeat. The baby was active. Arms and legs were in almost constant motion. We got a great report from the technician. The baby looks and acts healthy. The screen was turned away from us as the technician checked the genitals since we opted not to find out the gender. I probably couldn't have figured out the gender anyway if I had seen the screen. It is much more difficult than one would think to make sense of the images on the screen. I'd love to have one of those 3-D or 4-D sonograms one day. In those, you can actually see what the baby's face looks like! Our baby appears to have a cute little nose, but I think that is pretty typical!

I was so excited about the sonogram that I launched our online baby poll later that afternoon. Yes, we still have over 4 months to go, but I doubt much information will be revealed during that time that would alter anyone's guess about the baby's statistics. Let me confess, that I am feeling a little competetive about this baby poll. There is a list on the home page of the site that has the 5 games with the most guesses on their poll. The number one spot belongs to "Go Mountaineers" with 377 guesses. I realize that is out of reach for us. However, the last spot belongs to "Centerville, TN" with only 87 guesses. Now, I really think we can beat that amount. We have a ton of family and friends, so I am hoping they will all make a guess and we can see "Richardson, TX" listed in the number 5 spot. We already have 19 guesses after only 24 hours. So, if you read my blog and haven't guessed yet- get your butt on over to our poll. Email me if you need the web site info. You may be the lucky one to win the prize for most accurate guess. By the way, I am not going to guess until right before I lock the game. That way I won't influence anyone.
