I'm back. We've had a busy few days just like everyone else in America. We spent Thursday with Cody's family at his parents' house. It was a fun and relaxing day. We drove to the Campbell family farm near Brady TX on Friday (a 4 hour drive) and back. When we got home that night, I discovered that my ankles had swollen to baby elephant size. It was frightening. They are swollen again tonight. I had not been having any trouble with swelling until that car trip.
Ava got all the way to the last day of her non-thumbsucking chart and on the last day she was caught sucking her thumb! So, now she has to go longer before she can get her prize.
We had good friends from college stop by tonight for dinner on their way back to Nashville. It was a treat to spend some time with their family.
My neighbor is home from the hospital and doing better. I wanted to update everyone about that.
That's all the news for now- time to go prop up my feet. If this becomes a regular problem for these last 10 weeks, I am in trouble.

We had fun, too! Cord and Lauren left about noon to go have lunch with her grandmother, then back to Austin. I took a very long afternoon nap then heated leftover turkey and dressing for dinner......yum. Glad yall got to have a visit with P&B. Bet you enjoyed that. Sorry to hear about your swelling....seems like you had this with the other 2 as well toward the end??? I remember Kathy Campbell wearing flip flops toward the end of her pregnany with bad swelling....wherever she went. Hope you have some leftover from summer! Oh, and so glad to hear Julie is home. Hope she is doing much better.
