pitter patter

Nothing like the pitter patter of little feet running across the floor upstairs DURING REST TIME! Ack! We did so much this morning, I thought the kids would be worn out. Apparently I was wrong. We went to The Clubhouse for Kids in Plano. Some preschool friends were getting together there, and it was a nice day to go because there was hardly anyone there. However, the two employees working today were about the most unfriendly and unhelpful people I've ever seen. You would think they would be nicer, especially since this is a place for kids and families. They would just stare at people who walked in. They would offer no greeting, no help knowing what to do. They were gruff when they spoke, and they left people standing around at the front for ages before going to help them. I never saw either of them smile or offer one friendly word. We had never been there before, but they treated us like we should know exactly what to do and if we didn't they didn't really care. So hopefully, if you go one day Groucho and Mr. Frown will be replaced by some friendlier employees. And on a totally unrelated note- I've got to comment on how fast delivery guys move. UPS seems to be the quickest, but all of them are fast. They ring the doorbell when they drop off a package, and by the time I get to the door, they are already climbing back into their van. It took me no more than 5 seconds to get to the door just now, yet he was still already back in his van. We have quite a long sidewalk. How do they move so fast? I am beginning to wonder if they have some kind of special powers.
