I Should Have Known
I threw some money away by ordering what I thought might be "miracle cures" for fussy children and gassy infants. I should have known better. In my defense, these products were recommended to me by those who swear they work. First of all, after giving Lucas a dose of Gripe Water, which is supposed to calm gassy infants, he cried harder than ever for 30 minutes straight. Maybe it gets its name from all the moms who gripe that it DOES NOT work. Then, I tried out my new Over-tired and Cranky Baby bubble bath and spray on Ava and Nate. This stuff is supposed to calm and diffuse fussiness and prevent tantrums by utilizing aromatherapy. I'm the one who needs therapy after listening to World War Three, I mean bath time, tonight. Ava and Nate had one of the most screaming terrible baths ever while using this supposedly calming bubble bath. Again, maybe the name means it will CAUSE over-tired and cranky behavior, not prevent it. Deep down I knew these things probably wouldn't work, but I sure did hope they would. At least all is not lost because the over-tired and cranky baby spray and bubble bath really does smell good and I plan on enjoying it for myself.

I'm sorry gripe water didn't work. I used it with a gassy infant that I watched a lot this summer and it really seemed to help her. So I guess I'm part of that camp that swears "it works!" Bummer. With 3 little ones I'm sure you're the most deserving of "miracle cures"!
