You're Not Alone
My girlfriends and I had an enlightening conversation a while back that sure did ease my mind. Now it's my mission to make sure every woman out there knows she is not alone when it comes to online shopping size charts. I thought there must be something wrong with me. Every time I checked a size chart- you know, the kind that have the sizes 6-8, 10-12, 14-16 with measurements underneath for bust waist and hips, I felt like I was losing my mind. I knew what size I should be, but my measurements were not even close to what was listed underneath! I would go ahead and order the size I knew I was and the clothes would fit fine. So why was I measuring a good 5 or 7 inches larger than what they said I should measure? I brought this up to my girlfriends and they said that this is true for them also. What a relief! So the question now is- who are the mystery women these size charts are based on, and why do we even have them since they don't match up to our sizes at all?
