Number 4 in my top 5 pumpkin patch photo favorites was taken in October 2005. I had taken the kids to the Arboretum Pumpkin Patch for the first time and Ava immediately climbed to the top of this hay pyramid. She stood there for a long time. A really long time. She just stood there looking like a Pumpkin Queen on her hay throne. I like this photo because it is unconventional. She is facing away from the camera. She is engrossed in watching the activities going on around her. And again, the pumpkins look beautifully lit by the light.
The Arboretum has a fabulous Pumpkin Patch this year. We have not been yet, but I have seen a friend's photos. I can't wait to take all three kiddos there this year and get some good pictures.
These first 2 pics in my countdown were toss ups. There were even a few others that I like almost equally well. But let me tell you, Numbers 3, 2, and 1 are clear favorites and in a definite order for me. So stay tuned.
