I'm getting older, and my memory sure isn't what it once was. Thankfully, I am not to the point where I forget the names of every day household objects. But, when that day comes, sweet Nate has come up with a great way to help me recall the names of items around the house. His method involves a purple crayon, and some nice neat handwriting, if I do say so myself. Imagine my surprise this morning as I reached to push the power button on the television set and suddenly saw the word "tv" written on our new plasma flat screen. Apparently, my refrain of "we only draw on paper" is not completely absorbed yet. It reminds me of the time Ava took a crayon to the windowsill in her bedroom. She drew some pictures and signed her name. It doesn't take long to find out who the culprit is in our house, especially when they sign their graffiti. In this case, I had seen Nate with a purple crayon earlier. Add that to the guilty look on his face when I asked if he had written on the tv, and the verbal confession, and we've got a closed case. The punishment? He was not allowed to watch any tv today. And yes, the crayon rubbed off with a damp rag. Now I'll be impressed if he is able to label the refrigerator or hearth.

Oh my, that is hilarious!! What a smart kid. I would like to have seen him actually doing it. Gotta tell Don to be sure and see this....as well as the Valentine pics. And the sequence of Lucas' birthday pics are great!

So funny! Smart kid!
That is too funny and incredibly smart - before the pic I was imagining he wrote on the screen - now that I saw where he labeled it I can't stop laughing. Too cute Nate!
My definition of graphic artist has forever been altered! I was just curious if he had a reason he thought the T.V. needed to be labeled?
