Music Monday

Wow, I can't believe my hypothetical question got 14 comments. I'm pretty sure that's a record for this blog. Now, what song could I possibly choose that has a chance of getting as many comments as my previous post? Hmmmm.

Oh, it's impossible! But I do have an oldie and a goodie for our enjoyment tonight.
I'm trying to include some of my favorites from all genres and all eras, so tonight I am hitting the 60's. What a decade. One of the criteria for a Music Monday song is if I turn it up full blast if it happens to come on the radio while I am driving. Believe it or not, the presets in my car are tuned to the following stations: oldies, classic rock, country, classical, and contemporary Christian. And any of those stations might have a full-blast-worthy song in my opinion. On the oldies station, I would definitely turn up this fun song by The Contours. The only unfortunate thing about the song is that I had to do a stupid cheer-leading routine to it in P.E. in middle school. Ugh! Stupid cheer-leading unit. Give me kickball any day.

Do You Love Me? by The Contours 1962.

Don't you love that part at the end when it dies down so quietly then BAM! it's back?
I need to teach the kids the twist!

How do you post you tube footage to your blog? I can only figure out how to post the link. This is was my favorite song in Dirty Dancing.
