I'm feeling inspired by Cody's comment on my earlier post...
I was trolling along in the kitchen this morning, whipping up my latest batch of hogwart stew...the kids love it, you know, I can barely keep it in the house as they eat it so quickly. Ava was off at school, learning spells. Nate was flying all over the house on his broomstick, despite my countless warnings. "No flying in the house!" I yelled as he barely missed colliding with the stone fireplace. (I tried to tell Cody that 4 was too young for a boy to receive his first broom.) And my sweet little Lucas was calmly laughing and cooing at the daily news. He loves to watch the photos moving about. It really holds his attention. I suddenly heard a commotion at the front door. I figured it was the neighborhood kids again, practicing quidditch too close to our yard, but instead it was an owl. It was holding a fancy, gold embossed envelope in its beak. I could tell this was a special invitation of some kind. "That's strange", I thought to myself, as I dried my hands on a dish towel and plucked the beautiful card from the owl while nervously looking around to see if any muggles had noticed the owl's arrival. "Why would the sender of this elaborate card choose such a tiny owl to deliver it?" The owl ruffled her feathers as if she had read the question on my mind and flew off in disgust.

Quite entertaining, Becky...and clever! What a cute owl. I am surprised it stayed around long enough for you to get a picture of it. You don't see that every day. And extra points for Cody for making the HP connection.
i love it!
