Yea Chick-Fil-A
My favorite fast food restaurant has so many things going for it. First, and most important, the food tastes SO good. Have you had a chicken sandwich at any other restaurant? Wendy's perhaps? Dry and horrible. Chick-Fil-A has the best chicken sandwich around, but they also have great chicken wraps. Plus the waffle fries are great, and the kids' chicken nuggets are so tasty. Second, the kids' meals come with nice books instead of junky toys like so many other fast food places. Third, the employees at Chick-Fil-A say "My pleasure" whenever you thank them for anything. There is something about that phrase that is so nice sounding. It's tons better than "You're welcome." Fourth, I love how that company has decided to close their stores on Sundays. It is so refreshing in this day and age, when money pretty much calls all the shots, for a corporation to not bend to that pressure. It's nice to think of Sunday as a day of rest, a day for church, a time of renewal. That makes me really respect the owners of Chick-Fil-A, and it also inspires me to make Sunday a Sabbath day in my own life.

I share your love of Chick-Fil-A in all of those ways. And I do think it's great they are closed on Sundays, but I can't tell you how many Sundays I've wanted their food!
I have that same problem! It always seems that I think most about going to Chick-Fil-A on Sundays. Their chocolate milkshakes are sent from Heaven. I've never had a more amazing milkshake.
It is definitely my favorite fast food place. We have made a tradition of going there after JD's doctor appointments. I love substituting the fruit cup for the fries for JD - they have the best fruit!
The chicken minis (breakfast) are the best thing on the menu!
What about Jews and their worship services?
Belinda- no one company is going to be able to shut down enough days to cover every faith tradition's Holy Days or days for assembly. When I think back through the past couple of centuries, Sunday has always been the traditional "day off" as many had to work 6 day weeks and receive only one day of rest. Also, since roughly 3/4 of the population of the United States claims Christianity as their religion, it seems sort of appropriate that a US company would give Sundays off. Also, the Chick-Fil-A company doesn't assume that church is the only thing its employees might use the day off for- as they state it is a day for their employees to enjoy family time or worship if they choose. What I'm saying is that no fast food restaurant has to give any days off, but it's nice that this one does. A Jewish person might not appreciate it as much since it doesn't happen to be the day that they want to take a Sabbath, but a Christian would probably appreciate it.
I agree, I always want Chick-fil-a on Sundays, but I can always wait til the next day. I love them too...and everyone is always so nice.
Amen sister! When I was a vegetarian, the ONLY meat I ever craved was Chick-Fil-A. I'm so glad we have one here in my little corner of Indiana. When I lived in Chicago the closest one was in Wisconsin and there was a write up in the paper about how families would travel up there for special occasions to eat at Chick-Fil-A.
I don't go often; its on the other side of town (albeit, not a large town) and I'm usually over there only on Sundays.
Its fun to know they are just as nice at your C-F-A as mine; they even come around and ask if you'd like a refill on your drink.
I remember in the Mall of Abilene always hoping there would be someone standing outside of the C-F-A with a little tray of samples.
Ok, I'll stop ... you hit on something great here!
Plus they had the most amazing peppermint chocolate chip shake during the holidays! I went out of my way one day to get it and I am so glad I did! We do not live near a Chick-Fil-A so it is a treat when we get it and both of the boys love it. Thanks for giving me a craving that I will have to fulfill....and soon!
Becky, I do understand. We have another store, Hobby Lobby, that is closed on Sunday. Hobby Lobby actually has a sign on their door stating they're closed on Sundays so their employees can attend church. I was just wondering if they would be understanding if/when they do have an employee that worships on a day other than Sunday.
