Happy Birthday Lucas

My littlest is officially a toddler. And he is embracing the "terrible two's" with all his might. To say he has a bit of a stubborn streak is putting it mildly. But, for every moment he tries my patience, there is a different moment of cuteness or joy to even it out. Just look at that face. I can't believe how big he is getting!


We celebrated with a train party, complete with a train-shaped cake.

Then we opened gifts and started playing right away. This picture was snapped milliseconds before that ball hit me in the legs. The kid has a great swing.

I am so thankful for Lucas and all the joy he brings to our family. He's a rough and tumble kid who likes to say "NO" a lot and has a bad track record on sleeping through the night. But, he loves to cuddle, loves his Mama, and has the sweetest smile and big brown eyes you've ever seen.
