Baby Shower

I got to host a baby shower for a dear friend last week. It was beautiful, sweet, and a huge success thanks to the hard work of all the gals who pitched in. I worked on my gift for a few months, and as I mentioned before, was so pleased that this afghan came out in a recognizable shape. I now feel sort of bad for my own nephew, since his afghan was my first attempt and did not turn out as well. It's the thought that counts, right?

I also made a cake for the shower. I saw this idea in a magazine recently. Super easy. Just put icing on some flower-shaped cookies and voila!

I felt like throwing this picture in because 1. my friends are so beautiful and 2. that deep green leafy background is beautiful, too.

And here is the honoree loving her new pink afghan (and matching baby hat.) That smile was just what I was hoping for.

Everything looked wonderful, and Greta looked especially happy. Did you crochet the hat as well? Gotta teach me how to do that.
