Playing with Photos
I love taking photographs, but I love playing with them even more. We took an unexpected detour to a pumpkin patch last week, so I did not have my nice camera with me. But I was loving these adorable small round pumpkins all lined up on wooden bleachers so I snapped a pic with my iphone. I don't have the latest and greatest iphone, as evidenced by the photo below.
Because the photo seemed a bit blah to me, I loaded it into my favorite photography app on the ipad- Snapseed. Snapseed has some really cool features. One of them is simply called "Grunge." By sliding my finger across the photo on the screen, I can go through about 800 variations of color, distress, etc until I find the look that hits me. The options move by quickly, and it isn't an exact science, but it's a lot of fun.
I like my photo "grunged up" this way so much better. It's more interesting, has richer colors, and has a sense of spooky mystique befitting Halloween.
