Loving Me Some Vestals Table

Our friend Jordan is an amazing chef.  I've personally enjoyed many of his culinary creations and can testify that his talent is a treat for the senses.  He hosts events several times a year, and Cody and I finally made it to one.  We were long overdue!

The venue was so much fun.  The dinner was held at Village Baking Co.  We got to look around the oven room (it was hot...go figure!) and the large room where they make their breads and pastries.   I've heard this is one of the few places in town where you can get a croissant that tastes like it actually came from France.  How did I not know about this place before now?

I'm going to test that "tastes like it's from France" theory tonight because Cody picked up some treats from Village Baking Co. on his lunch break today to bring home.

We sat a long table and enjoyed a four course meal while chatting with interesting people on all sides.  I met a concert pianist and really enjoyed getting to know her.  In fact, she is helping me find a piano teacher for my kids now.  It's fascinating how one can sit down at a table for a meal with strangers, yet by the end of dessert a friendship has been formed.

Cody and I had a great evening.  I hope we can do it again soon.
