Baby's Breath
The delicate little white puffs of flowery substance are aptly named. It always makes a bouquet seem softer, more intricate, sweeter. I was just rocking Nate as he slept. His face was close to mine. I could breathe in his tiny exhales. There is a sweet tinge to a baby's breath. My friend Brenda was holding Ava when she was a baby, and I remember her exclaiming something about "Sweet little baby breath." I had never noticed it before that and now I can't help but notice. One of God's many mysteries is what makes a baby's breath so subtly sweet. Maybe it comes from the innocence within.
