Aching
My heart is aching for a family that has lost their little 10 1/2 month old girl this Wednesday. The girl's babysitter fell while carrying her on the stairs and she died of head trauma at a local hospital. The obituary was in the paper today. The family goes to a local church of Christ here in Dallas. I can't imagine the grief they are feeling at this moment. To only get to enjoy the sweet angelic presence of your precious baby for 10 1/2 months, and then have to say good-bye must be devestating. How quickly an accident can tear away from us the people we love. It's a chilling reminder to cherish the time we do have. Not much else has seemed important today. I can hardly get this family out of my mind. The only thing I can do for them is pray for comfort for them as they somehow put one foot in front of the other in the midst of the deepest pain.
