The impossible happened today. We didn't get a single piece of mail!
We have lived at this house over 5 years and this is the very first time that has ever happened (barring Sundays and holidays of course!) Actually, this may be the first time this has happened in my entire adult life. There is always some mail, even if it's annoying credit card applications or advertisements. I even called our neighbor tonight to ask if their mail had come (thinking there may have been some mail carrier mutiny, or oversight...) and she told me they had received it. Being someone who absolutely adores mail, I must say I was very disappointed. I sure hope we get something tomorrow!

This has happened to us before, but it has always been an oversight on the postman's part. Usually, the next day, we have double the amount of mail we typically receive. Tomorrow, you might be doubly surprised!!
