Talking with Ava, Again.

We put Nate and Ava to bed tonight with apparently a little too much chocolate in their system. (Thanks to the church chocolate festival at which my Chocolate Mousse Cake won Honorable Mention. The making of that cake, which took 5 hours by the way, is a story in itself that I will share later.) So we heard some crying and screaming coming from their room and Cody went to investigate. Nate was upset because Ava had been hitting him. She was hitting him because he was out of bed and she feels the need to reign him in I guess. The following conversation ensued:

Nate: WAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Ava hit me!

Cody: Ava, were you hitting Nate?

Ava: Yes! But, but, but...he wasn't obeying God!

Yes folks, that is what we try to teach them around here. If someone isn't obeying God, then by all means, smack the living daylights out of them. They had it coming.

I think I'll teach that to my kids too! Then they can just discipline each other, and I won't have to do it! Ha ha!

You are too funny with conculsions! "Yes folks... " LOL!

Your cake was FABULOUS, by the way!!! Would you be willing to make it for book club someday???

I will not be making that cake for a long time. Maybe after a few months, and maybe for an extra special occasion. Maybe for our 5 year anniversary! Ha!

Sounds great to me! 5 year anniversary would be a very special occassion! Looking forward to it... :)

I love to make cakes & desserts, in general, but I just don't see me attempting your cake that you made. I will just be patient and wait for you to make it again someday. My skill set is far to basic for that one...leave it to the expert - you!!!

Becky you are hilarious! Yes, Nate totally had it coming. :) I am going to have to watch Kimber - I can totally see her being that way as well.
